
Joy card
- Card base – white cardstock cut to 5.5″ x 8″, scored and folded at 4.25″ (set aside)
- Card front – wheat cardstock cut to 5.5″ x 4.25″
- Position the card front in the Scoring tool so a 4.25″ side is at the top. Score card front at .5″ intervals
- Drag white pigment ink lightly across the card front in the same direction as the score lines
- Die cut 1 Joy shadow from cranberry cardstock
- Die cut the Joy word die from white cardstock and punch out design elements.
- Die cut the small circles out of aqua sky cardstock
- Die cut the tulips out of cranberry cardstock
- Die cut the leaves out of evergreen cardstock
- Die cut the teardrops out of navy cardstock (be sure to keep all of the little pieces)
- Glue the white Joy cut-out to the cranberry Joy shadow
- Glue the various pieces from the cut-outs into the empty sections on the white Joy cut-out
- Glue the card front to the card base
- Use foam adhesive to attach the Joy shadow to the card front
O Come Let Us Adore Him card
- Card base – wheat cardstock cut to 5.5″ x 8″, scored and folded at 4.25″ (set aside)
- Card front – white cardstock cut to 5.5″ x 4.25″
- Arrange the stitching dies on the card front and secure with highlighter or washi tape. Die cut.
- Using the stamping platform, position the card front in the corner, position the Oh Come stamp on the card front, use the lid of the stamping platform to pick up the stamp.
- Lightly dust the embossing magic on the card front
- Use the Embossing ink (Versamark) on the stamp, stamp twice
- Sprinkle embossing powder on the wet ink using a folded piece of cardstock to catch the excess powder, use a dry paintbrush to brush away excess powder, pour the excess powder back into the container
- Heat the embossing powder
- Using various colors of embroidery thread, stitch the pattern on the card. Instead of a know, use tape to secure the ends of the thread. I used DMC 611 around the sentiment and DMC 320 and 520 for the leaf shapes.
- Die cut the manager and stars out of Gold cardstock, die cut various leaves out of evergreen and parsely cardstock.
- Use foam tape to attach the manger die cut to the card front.
- Glue the remaining die cuts as desired
- Glue the card front to the card base
Merry Card
- Card base – white cardstock cut to 5.5″ x 8″, scored and folded at 4.25″ (set aside)
- Cut a piece of white cardstock to 8 x 10.5″
- Use low tack tape to secure the cardstock to your scrap paper
- attach the stencil 1 to the scrap paper over the card stock, be sure to note which corner the numbers are in, to replicate with the later stencils
- Using brushes (identified by color), pick up the parsley ink, be sure to tap off on a papertowel before touching the paper to avoid splotching. Using a wax on, wax off circular motions, fill in the whole stencil.
- Gently clean the stencil #1 using alcohol and a paper towel
- Line up stencil #2 and secure with low tack tape. Stencil with evergreen ink
- Gently clean stencil #2 with alcohol
- Line up stencil #3 and secure with low tack tape. Stencil with honeysuckle ink or aqua sky.
- Gently clean stencil #3 with alcohol
- Line up stencil #4 and secure with low tack tape. Stencil with cranberry ink or peacock.
- Gently clean stencil #4 with alcohol
- Cut the stenciled cardstock into four card fronts (4″ x 5.25″)
- Cut a piece of peacock or evergreen card stock to 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
- Glue the stenciled card front onto the peacock or evergreen piece
- Glue the combined card fronts to the card base
- Cut the merry shadow die from white cardstock
- Cut the merry word die from gold cardstock, glue to the shadow die cut
- Stamp the sentiment (Christmas) using peacock or evergreen ink and cut to size
- Adhere the merry die cut and sentiment to the card front using foam tape
